NOTICE OF ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY ORDER TO JERRY BROWN, LORRAINE BROWN AND ALSO TO ANY AND ALL OWNERS OR HOLDERS OF ANY INTEREST IN REAL PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 5673 W. PALESTINE 2ND STREET, MENTONE, INDIANA 46539

COUNTY OF KOSCIUSKO
Pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-9-1 et seq., as adopted by Ordinance 11-11-22-001, Jerry Brown and Lorraine Brown were ordered on May 17, 2016 to demolish and remove the unsafe building located on real property situate in Kosciusko County, Indiana, which real property is commonly known as 5673 W. Palestine 2nd Street, Mentone, Indiana 46539 and legally described as follows:
Lot Number Eighty-One (81) in the Town of Palestine, Indiana, as recorded in Plat Book 3, page 353, in the Office of the Recorder of Kosciusko County, Indiana.
That the said order was affirmed by the Hearing Authority on June 30, 2016, but that the order was not complied with, and that, accordingly, a contract was let at public bid for the removal of the said unsafe building. That more than fifteen (15) days have elapsed since completion of the work and that costs related to the said work in the amount of $10,500.00 remain unpaid, along with the Enforcement Authority’s processing costs in the amount of $750.00, for a total amount remaining unpaid of $11,250.00. This notice is to demand payment in full of this amount within thirty (30) days. If payment in full is not made within the allowed time, then the unpaid amount may be added to the tax duplicate of the affected property as a special assessment.
