IPFW Department of Theatre will present its studio showcase “The Ballad of 423 and 424” by Nicholas C. Pappas at 8 p.m. March 2 and 3.
Directed by IPFW senior and 2013 Warsaw Community High School graduate Chance Parker, it features Valleri Bowman and Mike Mosier, and will be performed in Studio Theatre in Kettler Hall.
When new neighbor Eric (Mosier) moves into apartment 424, he is challenged with getting to know his next-door neighbor Roberta (Bowman) in apartment 423, according to a synopsis provided. Quirky and eccentric, Roberta is one of the most popular and reclusive novelists in the world. This fun, fast-paced play (30 minutes long) about love and loneliness is based on William Shakespeare’s Sonnet 23.
In this opening-and-closing-door ballet, Eric knocks Roberta’s entire obsessive routine out of balance tipping the world on end for both of them.
Admission is $5 for everyone.
Tickets can be purchased at the IPFW box office, online at www.ipfw.edu/tickets by phone at 260-481-6555 or in person Monday through Friday 12:30 to 6:30 p.m.
