Editor, Times-Union:
I noticed a story about a holy military tank that caught my attention. Crawling around on a World War II tank on the village green is allegedly irreverent. I guess the killer device has become a religious icon.
When I was a kid and that tank was just installed, I and my irreverent buddies crawled around inside that tank almost daily. Not once did I incur a spook inside.
To those that glory that Israel has bloomed from the desert, I must remind you that U.S. taxpayers poured $120 billion with a capital “B” into that no man’s land. Give me a few billion and I will build a city in Death Valley, Calif. With help from a mystical spook I could even get flowers to grow from concrete.
