SYRACUSE – Skyler Wayne Spore, 12, Syracuse, passed away June 28, 2014, at his residence.
He was born April 18, 2002, in Crawfordsville, to Darrick W. Spore and Candy S. Chamness.
He moved to the Syracuse area six years ago from Crawfordsville and attended Milford Middle School. He mowed neighborhood lawns, formerly attended Rock Solid Youth Group and enjoyed playing basketball and football at the Syracuse Community Center.
Surviving are his parents, both of Syracuse; a brother, Tyler Spore; grandparents, Sue Fisher, Beverly Grimes, Marie Norris, Bonnie (and spouse Steven) Moffitt and Bill Chamness, all of Crawfordsville; Dale (and spouse Betty) Spore, Syracuse. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bob Chamness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Burkhart Funeral Home, 300 S. Grant St., Crawfordsville, with Pastor Joses Lee of New Harvest Church, Crawfordsville, officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Cemetery, Waynetown.
Calling is from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Burkhart Funeral Home.
