Roberta J. Grable, 80, Pierceton, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Aug. 23, 2014, at her residence.
She was born May 13, 1934, in Warsaw to Ora Robert and Ruth Virginia Sellers Danner. On Nov. 15, 1975, in Michigan, she married Heber “Bud” Grable Jr., who preceded her in death Oct. 15, 2002.
She was owner of This Old House Antiques and Roberta’s Antiques of Pierceton. Her memberships include the American Legion Auxiliary Post #253 and the Golden April Home Economics Club, where she was a founding member.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy (and spouse Jerry) Kreger, Pierceton; a son, Chris Hathaway, Syracuse; a brother, Robert L. (and spouse Lori) Danner, Pierceton; a sister, Janet (and spouse John) Stouffer, McCormick, S.C.; four grandchildren: Julie (and spouse Steve) Poe, Winona Lake; Beth (and spouse Jessie) Hite, Warsaw; Shelby Kreger, Haddonfield, N.J.; and Kelsey Kreger, Fort Wayne; and four great-grandchildren: Daisie, Makayla and Samantha Poe and Anna Hite.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with Chris Mahan officiating. Burial is in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
