SYRACUSE – Robert J. “Bobby” Houser Jr., 26, Fort Wayne, passed away at 3:21 p.m. May 13, 2014, in Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne.
He was born Feb. 12, 1988, in Goshen, to Robert J. “Bob” and Margaret A. “Maggie” Schopf Houser. On July 31, 2010, in Fort Wayne he married Elizabeth M. “Liz” Lechlitner, who survives in Fort Wayne.
He graduated in 2007 from Wawasee High School, Syracuse. He lived most of his life in the Syracuse area before moving to Fort Wayne in 2007. He was employed at Walmart Distribution Center in Garrett as an order filler/fork truck driver since August 2007, and he also worked part time with Adams Landscaping, Fort Wayne. He attended The Chapel in Fort Wayne.
Also surviving are his daughter, McKenna Houser; his mother and stepfather, Margaret and Greg Adams, Leesburg; his father and stepmother, Robert and Pam Houser, Syracuse; two sisters, Angela (and spouse Jason) Pearson, Edgerton, Ohio, and Teresa Houser, Syracuse; two stepsisters, Beth Howatt, Syracuse, and Teri Wilson-Mullinger, Holland, Ohio; and a stepbrother, Scott Delucenay.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, with Pastor Rick Hawks of the church officiating. Burial is in Syracuse Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
