Ortie G. Manns, 76, Milford, passed away at 7:02 a.m. Aug. 2, 2014, in Fairview Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born June 8, 1938, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Dorton and Dollie Mullins Manns.
He lived most of his life in Kosciusko County. He retired as a supervisor with Uniroyal, where he had been employed for more than 26 years. He was former owner of The Keg in Leesburg.
He belonged to the Black Angus Association, various bowling leagues and Hoosier Shuffle Board League. His greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren and going to their sporting events.
Surviving are a son, Devon (and spouse Carol) Manns, Syracuse; two daughters, Jeannette Manns, Leesburg, and Tina Hamman, Warsaw; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gene (and spouse Geri) Manns, Claypool, and Mitch Manns, Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters: Grace Azbell, Wabash; Becky (and spouse Duane) Spangle, Claypool; Della (and spouse Lamon) Leckrone, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Vincent Allen Manns, who died in October 1968; a grandson, Craig Whetten; and three brothers, Russell, Ed and Dayton Manns.
Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw, with Pastor William Whitaker, Warsaw Family Worship Center, officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
