BOURBON – Florabelle Tribalski, 85, Etna Green, passed away peacefully at her home Aug. 16, 2014.
She was born Feb. 11, 1929, in Plymouth, to Ellsworth and Mabel Vandermark Bishop, and was raised by her foster parents, Richie and Nellie Harman. On Nov. 16, 1946, she married Anton “Tony” Tribalski, who died Dec. 29, 2003.
She had been a resident the Etna Green area since 1943. She was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a faithful member of the Etna Green United Methodist Church where she was very active in the life of the church. She loved to care for children including those who needed a place to get away from city life during the summer; she always welcomed them into her home. She had babysitting services for several of the Etna Green children. She was very much loved by her family and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her four children: Patricia (and spouse Larry) Hollar Sr., Warsaw; Angela (and spouse Rex) Klotz Sr., Bremen; Karen (and spouse Mike) Worsham, Bourbon; Tony (and spouse Helen) Tribalski, Etna Green; along with eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Andrew “Jack” Bishop, Brownsboro, Ala. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Chad Harrison Tribalski; great-grandson, Travis Klotz; two sisters, Irene Canale, and infant Edna; two brothers; Ellery Mehrley and Bill Bishop.
The family would like to thank all of the caretakers who cared for their mother over the past several years.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Etna Green United Methodist Church with Pastor Joe Lampton of the church officiating. Burial is in Etna Green Cemetery.
Calling to celebrate her life with family and friends is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
