Carole E. Conrad, 76, of 531 Sunshine Ave., North Fort Myers, Fla., and formerly of Bremen, New Paris and Goshen, died at 4 p.m. April 5, 2014, at her residence of natural causes. She had been in declining health for the last few years.
She was born June 26, 1937, in St. Joseph County, to Don Ebson and Mary H. Dahm Scott. On Oct. 29, 1955, in Bremen, she married Duane F. Conrad.
She retired from the Goshen license branch. She was a member of Grace United Methodist, New Paris, before moving to Florida. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, exchange students, the humane society and patriotism.
Surviving are a daughter, Debbie (and spouse Rob) Roe, Syracuse; a son, Bradley D. Conrad, Naples, Fla.; seven grandchildren: James Roe, Syracuse; Brandon Kaufman, Orlando, Fla.; Michael (and spouse Tara) Roe, Naples; Becky (and spouse Steve) Kinney, Westfield; Leah (and spouse Jose) Torres, Goshen; David (and spouse Justine) Roe, Syracuse; five great-grandchildren: Sully, Jett, Andrew, Caleb and Luke; and a special friend, companion and caretaker, Alan Garges, North Fort Myers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. April 26 at Grace United Methodist Church, New Paris, with the Rev. Bob Nelson officiating. Burial is in New Paris Cemetery.
Calling is after the memorial service, and a light brunch will be provided.
