Billy D. Horn, 77, Columbia City, formerly of Warsaw, died at 7:05 a.m. Aug. 24, 2014, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Aug. 10, 1937, in Mentone to Dwayne and Maxine Wideman Horn. He was married to Patricia A. Fancil Horn, who preceded him in death.
He was in the Navy during the Korean War. He retired in 1987 as a diesel mechanic from Gladieux Refinery in New Haven after 27 years of service.
Surviving are a son, Billy Horn Jr., Columbia City; four daughters: Kim (and spouse Robert) Sweet and Chris (and spouse Howie) Welch, all of Columbia City; and Sonia (and spouse Chris) Welch and Deana (and spouse Sean) Roof, all of Fort Wayne; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and four on the way; and four sisters: Sharon Miller, Lynde (and spouse Larry) Yeiter, Judy Robinson and Luann Horn, all of Warsaw. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry G. Horn; two sons, Rocky and Maurice Horn; and a daughter, Cynthia Horn.
Services will be at noon Wednesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Tim Kumber of Warsaw Church of God officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery.
Calling is from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
