SYRACUSE – Hosting Wabash Wednesday night, the Wawasee High School varsity baseball team rallied and posted a 9-8 victory, improving to 2-0 on the young season.
Drew Anderson was the winning pitcher for the Warriors, while Nate Prescott was 2 for 4 at the plate with a double and two RBIs.
After facing deficits of 5-1 and 8-3, Wawasee scored six runs in the home half of the sixth inning to pull out the win.
The Warriors host another Three Rivers Conference team today at 5 p.m., as the Manchester Squires come to town.
