Eryn Leek, a four-year starting point guard for Warsaw girls basketball team, will continue her basketball career at Holy Cross College.
During her time at Warsaw, Leek helped guide coach Michelle Harter’s Lady Tigers to a 61-27 record, including a 24-2 mark as a junior when the Tigers captured sectional and regional titles earning a Class 4A Final Four berth.
While Leek’s play netted her Northern Lakes Conference honorable mention and Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Academic All-State Honorable mention selections as a senior, her work in the classroom has been just as impressive, as she carried 10.72 (12-point scale) Grade Point Average through four years at WCHS.
In the summer, Leek helped her AAU team this past year to a trip to the Nike Invitational where they were one of only 16 teams nationwide invited to the tournament.
At Holy Cross, Leek intends to double major in psychology and pre-professional science while competing for the Saints and head coach Aimee Niespodziany.
Holy Cross is a member of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
