HAMILTON — Taking on Howe School in the first round of Class 1A Sectional 52 at Hamilton High School Wednesday, the Lakeland Christian Academy girls breezed to a win.
Defeating Howe 48-14, the LCA Lady Cougars (6-13) advance to Friday’s semifinals against Hamilton (3-14), who defeated Elkhart Christian Academy 43-31 in Wednesday’s opening game.
LCA and Hamilton met on Dec. 7 in Hamilton, with the home team getting a 54-23 victory.
Against Howe, LCA was led by Carissa Urschalitz’s eight points, followed by six each from Hannah Remington and Rachel Sand.
