WINONA LAKE —  The Whitko boys soccer team held off Lakeland Christian Academy Saturday in Winona Lake, beating the host Cougars 3-2.
Tyler Herendeen, Daniel Kirkham and Keegan Hicks each scored for the Wildcats, while Weston Clemens netted both goals for LCA.
In goal, Whitko's Jacob Helton recorded 13 saves.
Both teams return to action Tuesday for home matches against Northern Lakes Conference squads, as Whitko hosts Plymouth and LCA welcomes in NorthWood.
