Warsaw Community Schools summer school classes were cancelled Tuesday due to extensive damage and power outages that occurred as a result of the storms in Kosciusko County early Tuesday morning.
Representatives from the Indiana Department of Education advised WCS that lost instructional time resulting from this cancellation will not need to be made up. Summer School Session 1 will wrap up as scheduled today. High school students will still be able to earn and recover credits as previously planned.
As a reminder, Summer School Session 2 will be Monday through July 29. School starts at 7:45 a.m. and students will be dismissed to return home at 12:30 p.m.
Both high school classes and enrichment camps are offered by Warsaw Community Schools during July.
