Warsaw Boy Scout Troop 730 recently sent 11 boys to summer camp at Camp Chief Little Turtle, south of Angola.
Two of the boys – David Homme and Jonah Lechlitner – completed the Top Scout program.
Top Scout is a challenging boy-led program that tests Scout knowledge in advanced skills and physical demanding activities that separate them second to none, according to a press release provided.
Activities included a 20-mile canoe trip, wilderness survival overnight, land navigation race, mountain biking at Fort Custer, Mich.; rock climbing at Grand Ledge, Mich.; COPE High Rope Course, including the zip line; cooking, team building and more.
At the closing campfire, Homme and Lechlitner were recognized for achievements never accomplished before by other Scouts in the four-year history of the Top Scout program.
