NORTH MANCHESTER – The North Manchester Farmers Market now accepts EBT, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, cards.
Shoppers can stop at the vendor with the EBT sign to swipe their card and be given tokens to use with any participating vendors. Tokens will be in $1 and 25-cents increments.
Items available at the farmers market for EBT purchase are a variety of fresh vegetables and fruits, honey, maple syrup, jams, jellies, eggs, home baked breads, noodles, pies, cookies, rolls and  other desserts. There are also meats, including pork, chicken, beef and rabbit.
North Manchester Farmers Market is at the corner of Main and Wayne streets in the parking lot of Riverbridge Electric. It is open Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon, mid-May to October.
