Dortha Kreider Stewart, Holland, Ohio, will celebrate her 100th birthday Monday.
She was born April 7, 1914, to Noah and Oma Klutz Kreider, and raised in southern Cleveland Township.
She attended South Whitley High School and graduated with the class of 1932. She is the only one living from that class. She went on to attend International Business College. After college, she got a job as a secretary at Owen–Illinois, a glass company in Toledo, Ohio, until her retirement.
She married Floyd Stewart in 1935 and they lived most of their married life in Toledo. They also had a cottage at Clear Lake in Indiana. Eventually, they sold their cottage and home and moved to a senior citizen condominium in Holland, Ohio, a suburb of Toledo. Her husband passed away in 2009.
Her nieces are Beverly Kreider Schmidt, Fort Wayne; Diann Kreider Krider, Loon Lake; Jolene Kreider, North Manchester; and the late Judy Kreider.
She has a sister-in-law, Maxine Kreider, North Manchester, along with her great-nieces and great-nephews and her great-great-nieces and nephews. She had two brothers, the late Floren and Joe Kreider, and a sister, the late Katerin Hanley.
