Charlie and Judy Frisinger, Warsaw, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 22.
Charlie and the former Judy Wagner were married Feb. 22, 1964, in Mentone at the home of her parents while on leave before transferring to San Diego, Calif., as both served in the U.S. Navy.
After serving in the Navy in San Diego, they moved back to the Warsaw area. Charlie worked at Murphy Medical Center, Kosciusko Community Hospital and retired from DePut as well as the Air Guard. Judy worked at Grace Village and for the most part was a housewife. Both are enjoying retirement.
The couple raised four daughters: JudieAnne (and spouse Kirk) Wyman, Warsaw; Ginger (and spouse Marty) Hornbaker, Austin, Texas; Jainie (and spouse
Eric) Behling, Warsaw; and JoLayne (and spouse David) Morneau, Maspeth, N.Y. They also have seven grandchildren: Ryan and Kyle Wyman and Ashlie Yates; Khrysten Flores and Deriek Hornbaker; Eiley Behling; Mathilda Morneau; and one great-grandchild.
Their daughters have organized an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Winona Lake Senior Center. They invite friends to celebrate with them, but request no gifts.
