A Fort Wayne man was arrested Wednesday after police allege he sold 27 cell phones belonging to his employer.
Christopher Landel, 26, is facing one felony count of corrupt business influence.
Police allege Landel stole cell phones from Zimmer Biomet and sold them to a cell repair store, according to court records.
Another Zimmer Biomet employee called police and expressed suspicion regarding missing cell phones.
During the subsequent police investigation, Landel turned six iPhones over to police. Those phones belonged to Zimmer Biomet, but Landel refused to discuss the details of how the phones came into his possession.
Police found Landel had sold 93 phones to the repair store for a total of $16,000. Twenty-seven of those phones were traced to Zimmer Biomet.
Landel is currently out on bond.
